How do you post pictures on 10/18/2007 10:13:43 MDT Print View

Can someone please let me in on the secret? I realize it's probably really simple, but I've never done it before.

Thanks!

David,

When you are replying to a thread, or starting a new thread simply click the Insert Image at Cursor button which is located to the right and above the box in which you're typing your message. This pop up a window allowing you to upload a photo from your computer.

If the photo you want to post isn't located on your computer but rather on somewhere on the Internet then you'll have to use a bit of computer programming (oooohhhhh) to post the image. Type the following HTML code - replacing the example URL with the actual URL - to display an image hosted online.

img src code

Dave,

A couple additional thoughts:

1. a brief description is often nice (maybe as simple as where taken/what looking at). This goes in the initial "commentary / insight" box.

2. hit enter key 4-5 times so that, when you're posting multiple pix, they will show up in the thread separated a little. Otherwise they will abut each other.

3. within the pop-up window that allows the upload, be prepared to enter something in the "description" box - however what you type DOESN'T show up in the thread itself.
