This morning I came across an article in the NY Times about the increasing use of waste bag in National Parks. In this article they feature the removal of outhouses and privies from parks and how people are taking to it. Seems people are overall pretty accepting, kind of surprises me. I wonder how many are cheating.

Thanks for sharing. The key word in that article is "educate". You can put up posters and signs that say "pack it in, pack it out" all over the place, but until you teach it and give people the resources, the success rate is going to be rather low. Especially in areas where you get a lot of novice hikers, education is key in preserving our environment.

They should rename it GagBag.
