Hi Richard,

If I did not have a Kaitum 3 already I would be looking to purchase your 2person model.

Best of luck with the sale,

Stephen

So sorry to hear about your heart attacks -- glad you are still with us, Unna and all ! Had I the funds I'd give at go at the Katium, but with the Hilleberg lust around here at BPL I'm sure you'll find a lucky winner. Stay well my friend - the Sierra's still need backpackers with carbon fiber bear-cans !

At least I waited until I got home from Yosemite before having the first one in September. At the top of Red Peak Pass would have been a bad place to have had that happen but we could have tested out my ACR though ;^)

As a fellow sufferer of "Hilleberg lust" (thanks, Seth!), I'd take the Kaitum if I hadn't already filled the gap between my 1P Hillie Unna and 4P Hillie Stalon with a much-inferior 3P tent. Sorry to hear about the heart attacks, glad to hear that you won't entirely be swearing off hiking.
Do you really have a carbon-fiber bear canister?

Hi Richard,

I am very surprised the Kaitum has not sold as its an amazing tent.

Bump for an awesome shelter. The Kaitum, with its twin vestibules and vertical doors at both the head and foot end, is quite possibly the most versatile tent I've ever owned. The 2P really is made for two adults, not 1.5. Ventilation has never been a problem, summer or winter. It's robust enough for all but the most severe conditions you can expect to find in the Lower 48.

New, this shelter is an eye-watering $835 + $78 for the footprint. But unlike a lot of "4 season" tents it's absolutely usable year round and is light enough when split among two.

Good luck with your sale, Richard. This is a great price.

I would like to get this if it is still available. It will be great doing my first trip with such a nice tent.

I am so sorry for your health problems. I hope that you are on the mend. Thank heavens for medical technology.
