How does one Private Message with another member?

If you click on the avatar or name of the person you want to PM it will take you to their profile page. Underneath their avatar there is a link that says "Email this User", if the person has supplied an email address. If they haven't specified an email address then you will not be able to PM them and the system will note that in the profile as something to the effect of "This person is not available for Private Messages".

Problems with accessing profiles.... on 08/11/2007 17:32:30 MDT Print View

I've had a lot of problems since the site change a couple of weeks ago accessing member's profiles. Thus it becomes impossible to PM others. I'm assuming this is a bug that is being worked on, but it is very frustrating. On the times when I've been able to pull up a profile and look for a thread I knew they were a part of, I can only access the first 10 posts. I get an error message when I try to view 11-20 and so on.

Are these all bugs from the changeover, and if so, WHY did we do it for this AWFUL, new, poorly-accessible system?
