Not to thread jack, but if anyone missed out on this spinn shelter I have one older model (split back door spinnaker) spinn shelter that I would be willing to part with for $150. E-mail jbclifegroups (at) aol (dot) com for pics and details if interested.

Yes, it was $170. I deleted the price based on a trend that members were using of deleting the original asking price once it sold. Is it mandatory to now leave the listed price up?

It is not a rule, but I think it would be helpful to the BPL community:

1. For buyers to see how much things are being listed/sold for;

2. For future sellers to know what the "going rate" is, so that they don't unwittingly list their items at an unreasonable price;

3. For those of us who miss a really good deal, so that we can kick ourselves for not seeing it fast enough! ;^)

Transparency in the name of establishing value on 02/06/2014 13:19:38 MST Print View

We all know things often sell for less than the orig asking price...
and this is Not about Actual sold price...

this is about transparency for the greater benefit of BPL members.
...the ability of sellers & buyers to appraise/approximate market values.

I see no benefit whatsoever to the community, the buyer or the seller, of removing price info, and discouraging transparency. There are obvious benefits - to the community especially - of promoting transparency, around [at the very least] orig asking price.
