FS Tarptent/GG Squall Classic, Echo 1 on 01/31/2014 20:01:08 MST Print View

Both are excellent shelters, but my shelter collection needs some rationalising! Prices include posting from Oz. Can take photos of either shelter if anyone's interested.

SOLD! Squall Classic is the Spinnaker model by Tarptent in conjunction with Gossamer Gear. It's in as new condition with no dirt, damage or smells. Seamsealed. A small MYOG mod was to add a linelok to the midpoint of each side which improves the pitch a little. (There is a small repair to the stuffsack though!) Weight on my scale including rear pole and all guylines is 723g. $250 delivered.

SOLD! Echo 1 includes the tarp, net tent and beak. I bought this as a prototype, so passing it on cheap. Unable to detect any evidence that it's not identical to a production model. This thing is bombproof! I'm just not likely to get full use out of it in our benign climate. Again, it's in pristine condition. Net weight in stuffsack including all original guylines is 677g. $250 delivered.

Edited to add reference to GG.

Is there anything else included for the price on the Squall Classic? on 02/03/2014 08:02:05 MST Print View

Carbon Fiber rear or front poles, or titanium stakes?
Just wondering.
Thanks
Robert

Rear pole is standard Easton - weight savings with carbon wouldn't be terribly significant, pole is not long (can measure if you like).

We always used a trekking pole for the front - adjustability is good, to elevate the front in good weather for more room & views, and to lower in bad weather.

However happy to throw in Ti stakes of your choosing. If you're interested we can negotiate! I'd suggest v-stakes for the front & rear guylines, & shepherds hooks for side midpoints and front corners.

Cheers.
