Who bought my cuben stuff sack? on 10/28/2013 19:30:45 MDT Print View

I bought two cuben fiber stuff sacks on here a while ago. They looked really thrashed to me, but a thread in the Gear forum and advice from a few other members reassured me that some delamination and loose fibers were normal. They didn't have any major holes, so I used them for a bit and then decided to move them along.

I sold those two stuff sacks recently, one to Titus Pullo and the other to someone else. I can't find the second person in my email.

If you received the stuff sack from me and are dissatisfied with it it, I'll refund you no questions asked. I just don't own anything made of cuben, I don't really understand how it ages, and I'm not able to distinguish between "normal wear" and "too much wear," and I want to do right by you.

Sorry about that...

Thanks BPL!

I consciously chose to leave it unrecognized, Nick. Suffer no delusions.

But many members here have directly and indirectly inferred I am delusional.

Ha. I didn't list the price so I'd get the real guy.

Who knows? Maybe he's satisfied. He's already gotten it and it does have life left...

Got it. on 10/28/2013 21:43:02 MDT Print View

Hi Max. I have the MLD dry sack, which I paid $10 for. While it isn't quite water proof anymore (when filled with water, it leaked from about everywhere), I'm pretty okay with that fact and plan on getting as much use out of it as I can using it as a drysack. If you really want, you can refund the money or, better yet, donate it to a good cause.

Max is a poor starving college student - he should pay it to himself until he graduates and starts making money : )
