Lightweight Photographs on 10/22/2013 15:30:21 MDT Print View

I save weight by not carrying a camera. I haven't given up on photographs, however. Here's how:

(1) If I want to show people where I went I send them photos off the internet. I'm honest about it. I simply send them an e-mail saying some thing like "here are some photos I found on the internet of the area I just backpacked in".

(2) I ask others if they would mind e-mailing me a photo. A stranger was happy to photograph me and my camp with Glacier Peak in the background, for example, and e-mail it to me. .

Daryl,

Just carry an SD card. I am sure someone will flip yours in and take a few pictures of you. No fuss, no muss.

Even better, print a QR code on your shirt which has your email address. Then when they see your photo they know where to email it.
