Snowpeak Gigapower MicroMax Stove

Well, I'll be... I've seen other things show up at Tad Gear before they showed up in the US. Checking on the Japanese snowpeak site, looks like this is a 2007 product.

Any insites from our friends in Japan on this or any of the other 2007 products?

PS - the little dutch ovens are pretty cool...

Comparing the new stove to the Gigapower:

1. burns hotter (11,200 vs. 10,000 BYU)
2. improved pot stands (the Gigapower ones compact awkwardly)
3. improved (?) flame adjuster

Yes, any insights from gear geeks in Japan would be appreciated.

old Snow Peak Gigapower Ti manual---2.5 oz.
new Micromax ---3.7 oz.

more BTU's are always nice. New pot stand looks fussy. I never had much problems w/ the old stand----I know some people complained.

But what I really want Snow Peak to do is to make a new remote canister stove at a reduced weight and w/ canister inversion for Winter use.

I think that the ignighter could probably be removed.
I had the auto ingnighter on my gigapower, but I then removed it.

I agree with kevin, I like the stand on the gigapower Ti. never had a problem

Oh, and just for the record, I love my little GST-100A, but I do have to admit I the pot stands are a, albeit tiny, annoyance.

Oh #2... the GST-110A appears to be LESS expensive than the GST-100A...

Mmmm, looks a lot like the Vaude/Markill Peak ignition, Kovea Camp 3 and very similar to the Vargo Jet-ti.
More similarities:
Gigapower Delta Pod = Markill Spider ?

But where are those neoprene cosies they showed some years ago?

Thanks Joshua. Didn't I see one of these things in "War of the Worlds"?

9.7 oz. for the lightest Delta Pod remote model---well that knocked 2 oz. off their older model. But the Li Stove is 1.8 kg ---a basecamp stove at best.

Interesting assortment of canisters. I wonder when we'll start seeing this all Stateside?
