Ibex wool LS shirts - TAKEN on 09/18/2013 13:00:58 MDT Print View

Both shirts are taken.

So I've got two grey Ibex LS lightweight wool baselayers - a large and a medium. No hood. 1/4 zip. I don't wear them. Anyone on here want 'em?

Some notes: I don't know what model they are. I'm not going to take pictures, they're in excellent shape. I'm not going to weigh them, they're light, probably 150 weight but I'm not sure.

Extra notes: First to say I want 'em won't necessarily get 'em. One person can't have both of them. Those who have a majority of their posts in gear swap will fall to the bottom of the list.

Will vouch for Andy. He's a frequent contributor outside Gear Swap.

I've gotten a couple of PMs asking how much.

I'm not selling them.

Ah... the mind is clear now. on 09/18/2013 13:59:20 MDT Print View

Whoops, I missed the part about giving them away. I'm certain there is someone more deserving than myself. I'm definitely a gear swap addict, probably near 70% of my posts are in Swap and Deals.
Definitely a nice gesture.
Cheers!

we could make good use of those - on 09/18/2013 14:17:40 MDT Print View

Actually, my wife and I could make good use of those.
I had to look them up, they are lightweight wool long sleeve garments with a short zipper, right?

I understand they are intended as base layers but they sound very useful and versatile.
At something like 8o bucks per new, I'll never buy any, but I certainly would love a light wool garment. I particularly like the way wool handles smell when used long term!

The medium is probably ideal for me and my wife is about an inch taller and broader shouldered than I, and prefers looser garments. I know you do not intent to send them both to one person but well, my wife and I are two people!

These would be ideal for us on an attempt at an AT thru hike next spring we hope to make. Not a big deal though, fleece still works well and is cheap!

I would certainly like to be able to offer something in return though, either to the forum or to you.

Why discriminate agsinst members with limited experience who frequent the main forums with their yaps shut and their ears open, who search for the answers to their questions in previous threads instead of repeating the same questions, then apply what they learned through purchases in Gear Swap?

Oh wow... haha.
A "dick" doesn't usually give away expensive items.

Also... why question who Doug gives items away to... they're his belongings. Just sayin.

I have to admit... I was a little bit on the fence on whether or not An-D should get a t shirt. I mean, what do we really know about this guy anyway? I can tell by his avatar that he's serious about hydration but is he really deserving of a t-shirt? I wasn't so sure. But, thank God, Max is vouching for him and my fears have been allayed.

Put me in the "dick" category too I suppose.

Hopefully no one is butthurt but if so, get over it.

Just an FYI, at Ft. Benning home for boys, D.I.C.K. means Dedicated Infantry Commie Killer. Title is a badge of honor actually.

Since the Cold War ended more than a couple decades ago, I'm sure there are new acronyms flying around.
