Never heard of it until that movie this year. Another Blair Witch found footage type film. With a bunch of no name actors.

What stories have you heard?

Cold War USSR. They saw something they were not suppose to and got killed for it.

I hike with bears and Bigfoot. Enough to worry about.

Just reading the current wiki on the incident, since the bodies were found partially disrobed with no external injuries is consistent with hypothermia where the victims warm blood surges to the skin at the final point. One woman was found trying to warm her foot. Some of the broken bones may have been caused by an avalanche according to sources. Back in the 50's the ski club were probably wearing combinations of silk, wool, and cotton which is all outdoors people had back then but didn't help.

So the 3 mistakes away from being dead theory. Bad choice, bad decision, bad outcome.

Some of the hikers' clothing (2 pants and sweater) were found to be highly radioactive.

A victim was missing her tongue.

Orange lights reported in area.

Scorched skin on victims' bodies.

None of the victims came back to tent to pick up some extra clothes.

No other human footprints were found in the area.

IF avalanche was the cause how come the tent wasn't knocked down completely.

I dont believe in UFO and paranatural, but this was a bit unusual.

A bunch of liberal wingnut, pot smoking, card carrying members of the NRA's pro-abortion socialist organization did it.

People oft make fun of what they don't know or can't understand. It's a common defense mechanism. So many of us, deep down, fear the unknown. It's easier to ridicule. Makes us feel better, gives the illusion of having some semblance of control.

p.s. no, it doesn't scare me. Gives me some pause for thought though.
