I just couldn't keep this for myself, I felt like sharing.
I've stumbled upon these "2013 new 1 pair Outdoor Climbing anti-slip crampons" today, they seem like the latest and the baddest piece of gear.
I'm sure they will become a requirement for all the regulated high peaks soon.
They're supposedly great for fighting bears too - Wolverine style; they'll be an instant hit with trail runners - always at hand and finally a fair fight.
And it's great for camp use too - combing your hair or scratching your b*lls.
I should have posted this in the multi-use gear section, as the possibilities are endless.
I'm sure the BPL community will soon come up with a way to integrate them in a cook kit.
I can't even imagine what essential uses the survivalist folks will find.
baddass
They're the real deal, as seen on eb*y.

well, they are only $15.
looking good.
I will buy them after I see a You Tube clip of someone using those fighting a bear.

At this point I totally fail to visualise how exactly one would use them as crampons, so I need an "how to" video clip of that too.

You obviously don't climb mountains like this:

Thanks Doug, it reminds me that I need to start training form my JMT on a pogo stick (blinfolded) speed record attempt.
I was going to wear a Cuben skirt for that but it might just look a bit silly.

These would TOTALLY help with bear-bagging. You could scamper up a tree just like a squirrel, and choose any branch you wanted to hang your food from. No more twirling rock bags over your head, beaning other hikers with it. No more long ropes. No more knotted ropes.

I'm sold.

They would also work pretty good as a rake to get all the rocks and debris from under your shelter.

OK I can't resist any longer. What are these things?

Are these some type of fighting accessory?
