Please Google "resize photo" for a listing of online services that can quickly scale down an image for you.

About 550 pixels wide should be plenty for posting on BPL; that should bring it down to 100 KB or so.

If you have a PC, the free Microsoft product "Paint" will resize

If you're a Mac user, export the file from iPhoto to your desktop. In the process, you'll have an option where you can reduce the photo size.

And thanks for Resizing.

A recent Trip Report with 10+ 2 MB images takes a looooong time to load on a slow DSL.
