6 qt pot on 05/24/2013 19:45:12 MDT Print View

Since they dont seem to make ultra light aluminum pots anymore, Ive been periodically browsing the thrift shops to see if I could locate a cheap, light 6qt aluminum pot.

Today, I happened upon this:

whirly pop

Whirly pop, 6qt pot. Weighs 10.2 oz. Available at bed bath and beyond, or many other places for $20-$25.

I found a brand new one in the thrift shop for .....$3.99.

A scout is thrifty.

Here is a cook set that still has a 6 qt pot in it. http://www.amazon.com/Texsport-Aluminum-4-Person-Cook-Set/dp/B000P9EZWU/ref=sr_1_40?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1369621665&sr=1-40&keywords=texsport
The whole cook set is not very costly if anyone is interested. dave
