If you were going to create a 'soap' about a macho outdoorsman (sort of a UL survivalist, save the damsel and the environment type) what would his name be? Any ideas for other characters or plots?

How about 'Ridge Walker' or 'Bobby Rapids'.

His catch phrase could be "I'm good by nature thanks to my mother Earth".

It's a soap remember, keep it corny !

Cyclist Inducted Into Macho Name Hall Of Fame

"On the heels of his 7th Tour de France victory, cyclist Lance Armstrong received an invitation to be entered into the Macho Name Hall of Fame.

Former Republican House Majority leader and current president of the Macho Names Hall of Fame, Dick Armey, announced the invitation in a 15 minute press conference on Tuesday. Also present at the conference was CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer, and Law and Order creator Dick Wolf.

The event was closed with a short memorial for ex-member Rock Hudson."

This is a continuation of the "Chaff just aint what it used to be" revival.

Everyone is on a last name basis in the military. Your last name is also displayed on your nametape and uniform. I always envied guys/gals where the planets lined up for them like Major Major and Sgt. Rock. My personal favorite was a guy I knew with the last name of C*ck (which apparently sets off the BPL profanity alarm). As soon as he arrived at our company, all you could hear in the CP for weeks to follow was "I want C*ck!" "If I don't see C*ck soon, heads will roll!" "I need C*ck now!"

Anyways my vote for macho name would be Harold Savage.

On an unrelated note, if I ever decide to quit my current job to become an adult movie star, I've decided that my stage name will be Taint Anderson.

So what is your vote for macho name and adult movie name?

Harry Pitts?

Ps.

Ian, I think you joined after George Matthews passed away. He had a great sense of humor and I think you would have enjoyed his posts. Doug and he were the first to really make me laugh out loud when reading BPL.
