Gear swap needs a disclaimer on 03/26/2013 05:07:28 MDT Print View

No this is not one of those you might have thought it was about an unhappy buyer with an inaccurate description. It is exactly the opposite. They really should put a disclaimer saying gear swap can be addicting. You should see your doctor if you have been more than x number of items in a month.

In one week a few months ago I managed to go from owning one tent to three. One I found on here and the other was on Craigslist but wouldn't you know they were a member of this site too. Since then I have bought several more items. Yall are really bad for the pocketbook. So does anybody have this gear swap addiction?

I'd like to start off by saying I don't have a gear addiction or problem, I see gear I buy gear, no problem! Oh wait, wears that credit card?

Yeah, you'd be putting Ben out of work.

As a gear "consultant."

Gear swap is only bad if Debt collectors and Bounty Hunters are calling around your house :-)

Around here we call that a good start! ... he-he

Next step? Replace tent(s) with tarp(s)

"Replace tent(s) with tarp(s)"

Replace? What heresy!! We need tents... and we need tarps... and a hammock too!! Each has its purpose and each provides its own joy! How can anyone enjoy hiking by limiting his or her gear choices? And this is what Gear Swap is for -- to help you save!!
