I'm prepared to dress up in men's clothes just to get the award.

And I'm fully prepared to wear womens clothing for the event as well.

(Slowly fade in pythonesque reference)

"I cut down trees, I wear high heels

Suspenders and a bra

I wish I'd been a girlie

Just like my dear papa

"He's a backpacker and he's ok...

Who decides?

Can I nominate someone?

What's the prize?

I figure when someone goes off the deep end on a thread (which has become derailed anyways) then the nomination could be made there and voted on in chaff.

Some history on the Diva of the Week award on 04/07/2013 07:29:26 MDT Print View

We've done this at work where we'd hang a picture of a toddler girl throwing a tantrum outside the office/cubicle of the person who was acting like a whiney b!+£h. I've earned it a couple times. Don't know what the BPL equivalent would be. Just the honor of being recognized for causing the most drama I suppose.

Hang that pic on you HR office door. Should be more PC and have a photo of a male and a female.

Any nominations this week?

I think there are a lot of nominations this week...

Nothing like a first aid kit thread to devolve into gay bashing and a leaking canister question to transform into a treatise on Max's personality.

Gosh I love this site!!

No misogyny here on 04/07/2013 08:48:54 MDT Print View

Probably a more gender neutral title would be in order then. The WA (whiney @$$) award?

Hey Jen, thanks for the pointers on those 2 thread. They were absolutely hilarious. Someone needs to start a thread for updates where a thread starts out harmlessly and then devolves into a name calling hair pulling jerry springer episode. Gotta love it.

You said something earlier this week which I identified with.... something along the lines of "the older you get the more you realize how much you don't know."

Truer words never spoken.
