Yea Peter... Way to set the standard... Impressive! My "Gear Chest" seems to be in desperate need for organization compared to some of these I've seen.

I like the Synmat as couch in the last foto. That's multi use for you.

Thanks all for the kudos.

I confess that I pulled the McHale Pack from the back of the closet so its logo would show when I took the picture.

A few of you clearly need therapy.

I find all that nerdiness and gear very attractive.

Just sayin'......

Of course, I'm single too.

gear cupboard for me on 03/12/2013 11:52:08 MDT Print View

" I have the REI Flagship store 6.1 miles away. Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!"

1.53 from the flagship for me and my gear still fits in a kitchen cupboard. "Danger" is right if pictures in this thread show my future.

@ Bob,

At this point in time I own no cuben and my only piece of Ti gear is an Optimus extra long spoon. LOL

My gear is stored in a closet in the extra bedroom of our house. Actually it shares the closet with the Christmas decorations and wrapping paper. Until very recently both only seemed to come out with the same annual frequency. ;-?

What isn't hung up is stored in Sterilite plastic storage bins from WalMart or sitting on a 2' x 4' folding table in one corner of the room.

That same spare bedroom also houses my MYOG supplies and sewing machine.

Party On,

Newton

So if two gear nerds moved in together and there was only one closet for gear, who would get the most space?

"Yep I'm single. I don't know how you guessed."

It was the 5 WM bags that clued me in.

Gear nerd love... on 03/12/2013 11:59:13 MDT Print View

Why, the girl gear nerd, of course!

We may be gear nerds, but we still get all the closet space. You can have the garage. Or a shed.

I find the most neat and organized ones to be the sexiest, myself. But then, they do say that opposites attract...

You won't be seeing any pictures of my sprawling gear, that's for sure.

I guess I forgot to stage all the WM storage bags so their logos would show. I actually have 6 WM bags, and a Feathered Friends bag and a Nunatak quilt. I really need to start selling some stuff.

I just ordered an Enlightened Equipment Epiphany quilt, and it should obviate the need for most of my other bags. Still, it's hard to part with gear.

When I lived in Europe it was in much smaller houses so kit was always scattered in nooks and crannies all over the house, its only since moving to the US that I got my own gear room, having it all in one place makes getting ready for trips a far sight easier :-)

My contribution on 03/12/2013 12:53:04 MDT Print View

Here's my contribution. Lucky for me, my wife has allowed me to take over a corner of the walk-in closet. It's the first thing I see when I go decide what to wear...
