WTB: 60-70L lightweight pack on 03/08/2013 10:47:06 MST Print View

I'm here outfitting a younger buddy for a one-year world travel trip. I did this same trip when I was his age, and used an original-edition GoLite Quest, which was *perfect* for the job. The Quest was about 3lbs and roughly 70L, though that was on the high range of the capacity that I ended up needing for most of the year.

NOW I'm trying to find something similar, available for $120 or less shipped to Texas. The current edition of the Quest 65L would be an awesome solution, but those are out of stock and who knows when GoLite will restock them? So, I'm looking here to see if anyone either has recommendations or packs they need to sell.

Complete detailed requirements:
- Packs weighs 3lbs or 3.5 at the very most
- Men's size medium or large
- Lightweight internal frame, good enough for 25-30lbs
- Decent compression
- Durable and fairly clean exterior design (for surviving airport conveyors)
- Dependable closure system, e.g. a drawcord (panel-loading makes me nervous)
- Between 60 and 70 liters in capacity, or thereabouts
- Maximum of $120 or $130 shipped

I think that's it! Please PM me or send email directly to sns426 AT gmail DOT com

The Golite store in Cabazon, CA has Quest backpacks. Give them a call to see if they will ship?

alternately, give a call and see if they have any and not yet reflected on their webpage.
