Used down sleeping bag or quilt for 2-3 season Midwest use. Haven't used a quilt before but I'd be willing to try it. Must fit 6'1" / 180# user, some regulars work and some are tight - longs all work. 25 - 30° rating, under 2.5#, preferably closer to 2#. Montbell, WM, REI, Enlightened Equipment, Marmot are all good - 700fp or higher preferred. No DIY projects please.
I'm in school and paying for school right now, so budget is the biggest concern. I can't really pay more than about $150 shipped, and I'd have to sell my current cold / bad weather synth bag at that. I don't have email access currently - service trip for spring break - but please post here or PM me and I will return PMs starting March 17.
I have a friend looking for a down bag as well for his first trip this May. He is a size regular and looking for about the same temperature range. He can't pay over $75; if you happen to have any cheaper bags, keep him in mind as well.
