minor clairification on 03/06/2013 11:03:43 MST Print View

Hi,

As a newer member of the BPL community, I would like to take this oppotunity to clairify my meaning when I use the words elite and purist in my forum posts.

Hopefully most folks already figured this out, but when I use these terms to describe fellow UL'ers, UL suppliers I mean it in the best possible way. For me, someone or something that is elite, is the pinnacle of UL standard, aka the best of the best. Additionally a purist, in my opinion, is the pioneer, the uncompromising soul who stands by their principles and pushes the suppliers to higher and higher standards. While I cannot consider myself a purist, I am so grateful that these folks are out there demanding innovation. For me, I'm much more compromising. I naturally tend towards the middle ground, and I am quite happy to re-evaluate my position. In some cases this is a benefit, and in other cases it's a flaw.

Hopefully this will clear up any miss-understandings. I use these words with respect and considerable awe.

Sincerely,

-daniel-

You being too polite, Daniel. Besides, how are we ever going to rebuild post counts if we can't have misunderstandings and ragging each other over them? :)
