I see that REI has the short (20x48)Insulated Air Core pads on closeout for $39.83--- both rectangular and mummy shapes.http://www.rei.com/product/850393/big-agnes-insulated-air-core-pad-short-2012-closeouthttp://www.rei.com/product/850394/big-agnes-insulated-air-core-mummy-pad-short-2012-closeout
Mrs. Basil thanks you for the heads-up. We just shaved several ounces off her gear, and added comfort.
Picked up the Mummy one. Thanks for the heads up. Figured I'd grab a pair of wool socks to put it at $51 (free shipping over $50--basically, added a pair of nice socks for a few bucks).
I've used a Prolite 3/4 length pad in the past, but need something warmer for an upcoming trip. I'm 6'3", is this going to be hard to sleep on? Should I go Mummy or Rectangular?
Mark off 48" on the floor and see where it hits. A rectangular pad is better if you sleep on yor side, giving more room to tuck up your knees.
