Been trying out a few one person tents, but not overly thrilled with the front entry door.

I like the looks of the side entry on the Big Agnes Copper Spur UL1, but not particularly the price tag.

Anyone have one in good condition they are looking to part with?

Thanks

I would look for the old style.I understand the new models do not have the little zipper door that accesses the other vestibule. I really like mine for certain trips even though it is not ultralight.

Take a look at the Lynx by Big Agnus, it has a little more material than the Spur, but it looks like the same design, it weighs a little more but it should do better in the colder months. Sometimes you can find them for $150.00-$175.00 Good luck with the search.

Thanks for the tips on 03/03/2013 07:07:41 MST Print View

I appreciate the tips. I am looking mostly at the older models.

I missed out on one the other day by a matter of minutes that was priced close to what you mention the Lynx's go for.

I'll just have to keep the eyes open for one.

I don't have a problem waiting for the right deal, as I have 4 other solo tents I have bought to try out and are just sitting in the gear closet in the meantime.

http://www.backcountry.com/big-agnes-lynx-pass-tent-1-person-3-season

i too was in the market for a solo tent

i posted up a while back looking for a scout or seedhouse sl 1 got a couple offers to buy the smd scout but after some research i decided to go with a more rugged double wall instead so i bought one of these instead

listed trail weight is 3 lb 8 oz floor length is 90 inches so long bags should fit fine in it and i think its 42 inches wide at the head end plus side entry

mine hasn t arrived yet but ill report my thoughts when it does

Howdy...

I have a "gently used" 2011 model ( with the small zipper/ access to the smaller of the two vestibules) that is in excellent condition.

I'll include the footprint and stakes for $ 150.00 plus shipping.

If Jared doesn't want it I'll take it.
Jared if you buy it and decide later it's not for you, pm me and I'll buy it from you.

Thanks, Jack
