Yes, though it may have to wait until later summer. Our production team is pretty slammed. I'm thinking it will be more Scarp/StratoSpire style--all solid with mesh vents at top of doors--than the open mesh roof style on the Notch interior but I'm opening to lobbying and good beer ;-)

Had been looking at the GL Imogene 3 today, but I like the vertical end walls of the CB3 better. Looking forward to seeing more on this. Any news on the price point yet?

Moment on 02/28/2013 20:22:17 MST Print View

I like the weight, even with the added crossing pole and snow capability of the Moment. Would be a pound lighter than my BD Hilight. Would not be spin drift proof due to all that netting still. The vestibules would be nice in snow and wind for using stoves, which I'd like in a snow storm, just not high winds.

Henry needs to get some modern Thermarests :)

The new tents look nice.

We're not quite in production just yet although we start cutting fabric tomorrow. I wont have sewing costs for 2-3 weeks. I'll get it posted on the Cloudburst 3 page as soon as we know. Best guess is that will certainly be competitive with the Imogene 3.

Very true. I'm too cheap...

The CB3 has a low fly edge--about 2.5" all the way around--so, yes, if you can manage a very small snow wall.

Sorry Travis. The only good beer is farther north. He will have to come to Canada for a trade.

Yeah That CB3 is looking purty man.

Feelin all nostalgic for my old Cloudburst. At least I sold it to my friend so I can still use it.

ooooH I just noticed the optional 3rd pole. Henry has his eyes on my wallet.

Fantastic! I figured with the recent sale that a new Moment must be brewing. I've been waiting a while to pull the trigger on a new solo tent. Well, the Moment has arrived. :) I'll be ordering in a few weeks. Thanks for the keen work Henry and co.

Henry or Franco, can you give separate weights of fly, inner, and included crossing pole?
Thx.

The interior is 10 oz (10.1 actually), the fly + stakes + stuffsack is 34-10 = 20 oz. Of the 20 oz, the included arch pole is 6.5 ounces. The "crossing pole" is a 7-ounce option.

Wow! Thank you Henry, a winter shelter (non-storm) about 1.5 lbs. I could lose 2 lbs. from using my BD Hilight. I may have to hold off getting that new, large capacity backpack for winter trips, until the dust settles.

Thanks for the quick reply! Again, looks like an awesome versatile shelter (esp for someone like me who doesn't use trekking poles). Can't wait to order.

Henry,

Will you be including a setup video of the CB3 when it's ready for market?

Will you also be including a setup video while being really drunk for our Scottish friends?
