Trip Report and ramblings here.
Great Nick. I love how you go retro right down to your skivvies. Good on you not telling either. A lot of good spots out there have been hit hard due to the internet and GPS. Very sad indeed.
Thanks Nick. Enjoyed both the report and ramblings.
Well done Nick.I know a few other sites out there similar to Carey's, one that still has pots and pans in it (last I was there); might hike Mike M. out to one this weekend during the JTree run. I certainly don't think their whereabouts need to be broadcasted on the internet or through books and maps either.Love the gear.
Quality stuff here Nick, thanks for sharing.
I truly enjoy the nostalgia hikes you report. I agree, some things aren't meant to be posted all over the web. Some things should be left to be discovered then left alone.
Nick,From your photos I see that the rusted out old yellow on black lettering CA license and that faucet are missing. Also 8 years ago, the rat feces needed a shovel and haz mat gear, hantavirus...
Freaking great stuff, Nick. Very cool. Thanks. The Internet. Best and worst invention of all time.
