I bought an orange Houdini last fall mostly to be visible during hunting season. There can be some advantages to those bright obnoxious colors.

I must presume these are the older versions which are supposed to be more breathable as I think 6pm sells older stock.

Actually, 6pm has been selling pretty current stock as of late. For some reason, you can sometimes find the same items being sold on zappos.com (their parent website) but for cheaper on 6pm.

I assume this is the more recent version of the houdini (the same one that was being blown out by patagonia.com just a few weeks ago) because it has the new single pull adjustment hood. The older versions had a more traditional adjustable hood.
