Interesting new use for carbon fiber.--B.G.--
Is that the Goodyear Eagle F1? They've got carbon fiber inserts in the sidewalls to reduce side flex at lower weight than the fibers used before. It's not that new, but it's a heck of a good tire for touring cars and rockets.
Too bad we can't carve that up for carbon fiber tent poles or something. This was mounted on a Tesla S car.--B.G.--
Bob,We've checked out the S, and I see a few of them on the road during my commute. Let me compliment you on a very nice zero-emissions car. When I drive my Jeep, I shall consider you my offset. :P
It sure isn't my car. I just observed it.I would not want a car that has such a poor range, whether it is electric or gasoline. With my gasoline buggy, I can drive from home to Yosemite and back and still have fuel in the tank.--B.G.--
