I used one of these for a week trip last year. A buddy and I slept in the tent and had a ton of room to spare. We're both on the taller side and we could have comfortably fit another person in. Not the lightest, but very comfortable, and if you split it between 3 people you're still getting in the 2 lb range per person for shelter weight. Excellent price, it'll be a good pickup for someone!

I have a Limelight 3 that I use mostly with two people and it is a really comfortable and well designed tent. Split between even two people it is not unreasonable given the amount of space and the quality of the materials (I haven't put mine on a scale but I think it is around 6 pounds total...) for shorter jaunts in particular.
