Brunton makes (or used to) a converter for a backpacking canister stove that converts it to a remote canister stove. Your small backpacking canister stove screws onto the 3 legged converter. The canister screws onto the valved attachment at the other end of the stainless braided fuel hose.VOILA! You now have the equivalent of an MSR "Windpro" remote canister stove. I have both the Windpro and the Brunton convertor so we can have 2 stoves for car camping.
Indeed. And in 2008 we published an MYOG article on the Brunton adaptor:http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/backpackinglight/myog_winter_stove_summer_upright_stove_brunton_stnd.htmlCheers
And too bad that Brunton stopped selling them. I see some on eBay, but not sure if they stack up. I know other folks have posted about this, but it doesn't seem like there is a good reliable replacement :(.
The source for them all is Fire Maple FMS-702:http://fire-maple.com/products_del.html?news_id=91&c_id=5&cate_id=12So what you see on eBay is probably the same thing. Hunt around via Google.Cheers
