Sold: an "original" REI Flash 18 backpack. It is in excellent condition, but the waist belt has been removed, dropping the weight to 8.4oz. I cut a 5mm EVA foam back pad for it that slips in the hydration pocket and it adds just 0.8oz. IMHO, it improves the comfort and makes a good sit pad too. $18 including shipping to US addresses and PayPal fees.
