1. Can it be pitched to the ground? A couple photos online look pretty good but it's hard to tell.

The four corners can be pitched to the ground but the edges have a pretty pronounced catenary cut so the middle of the edges will not be against the ground. On mine I'd say there is 4 inch gap or so at the middle of the edges.

two adults can easily sit down inside with the corners pitched to the ground.
