I realize Evernew limits their supply to the US, but it's crazy. The Interwebs are totally failing me. I can find the 600mL but not the 2L.

I got a 30 oz. and a 50 oz. on Cyclocamping.com for $18 shipped. Not too bad. Don't know about the full 2 L size ones though.

These were just instock yesterday, almost pulled the trigger, but the shipping was half the price of the Evernew. Good luck, let me know if you find any.

Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder had a small stock of 2 litre and 0.6 litre Evernews when I was in there 10 days ago.

I found some 1.5L ones at MLH wilderness supply (sales@mlhwilderness.com). Found them on eBay but they were quick with delivery. No 2s tho, which is what I really wanted.

Put in stock notification requests to Mountain Laurel Designs and Gossamer Gear, both of whom state they're expecting shipments this month. I know that GG takes the requests in order received; I'll bet MLD does too. Check other firms to see if they do backorder requests of some sort.

I got a 2L one from Trail Designs last spring and two 400 ml ones from a place called "Great Outdoors Depot."

The problem is that thanks to the newer Platypus' being incompatible with the Sawyer Squeeze Filter, the Evernew carriers have become highly sought after. That's Platypus' loss for instituting non-standard threads! Plus I understand that the Evernew factory in Japan was out of production for quite a while after the tsunami and is still trying to catch up.

Why do people like these so much? I've the same platy for like 3-4 years now and it works great. Are they desirable because they are so hard to find?
