Where did you get all those photos? Are you a game warden or something?

I too have the same concern as Dale and rarely leave the tent at night for anything. Your photos encourage me to stick with this policy.

I am not but I know a couple game wardens.

I especially liked the ones of the women's basketball game. That'd cause me to be looking over my shoulder while peeing at midnight, I can tell you that.....

My parents cabin is about 10 yards out of the picture. I often will set up a tarp to sleep under between those very trees.

One time during the night a noise woke my mom up. Her bed is next to a window, and when she pulled up the blinds, a bear was right there, scratching at the side.

where it becomes invaluable to have, even if you don't plan on using it, is when it's so cold that if you opened or exited your sleeping bag you'd never be able to get it warm again. also (not including rain or falling snow), there may be environmental reasons that make exiting the tent in the middle of the night a bad idea. as much a using a pee bottle is a pain, not using one can make for even a bigger problem if you can't sleep because of either a full bladder or because your sleeping bag is now cold and there's no way to warm it up. i find that in my wm antelope i have enough room to roll over to my knees. practice prior to using this method in the field is advisable. it pays to have a thought out plan so that in a sleep induced fog, you are sufficently aware of the steps involved and to close the lid properly. so who's gonna start the thread on blue-bags?
