I'm disappointed. I asked this huge crowd of backpacking knowledge for information about packing in Gila, east of Silver City, and HK is the only person that shared.

This site is at its best when we share...

Anybody else willing to share? Please see my previous thread titled "Gila East of Silver City".

You never see any trip reports from Texas either. Sorry I can't help you out. Only driven through...

Try pinging Eugene Smith here on BPL. He backpacks in the Gila a fair amount. Not sure if he knows the area you speak of...but it can't hurt to ask.
