Amazingly, Mont-Bell has managed to pull off a 1.6 oz wind shirt and still give it a full length zipper. The Tachyon Jacket is built out of their 7-denier Ballistic Airlight rip-stop nylon. The armpits are made out of a lightweight mesh to help with venting. No drawcords can be found anywhere. Besides the unknown durability at this point, one potential downside for some will be the lack of hood. If you need a hood, you will have to step-up to the 2.3 oz Tachyon Anorak (not new for this year) built out of the same fabric, but with only a half zip.
