Inov-8 has completely overhauled their pack line. Targeted at adventure racers and ultra runners, most of their packs are not going to be of interest for backpacking, however several models have great potential for use as ultralight day packs. The Race Elite 10 is a 3.7 oz (105g) 10 L pack optimized for lightness. The pack has two stretch side pockets built-in to the hip belt that can double as either pockets or 500ml water bottle holders. The idea behind placing the pockets on the hip belt instead of the side of the pack is to pull the water bottles in closer to the body allowing the arms to swing back and forth more freely during high output activity.
