Not sure where to post this, since it isn't exactly a trip report.
I haven't posted or been out as much in the past six months, but I still read BPL and spend my days outdoors.
We just had a two nighter in the Trinities this last weekend and it was such a nice little trip. I brought along a lady friend that has hiked her whole life, but had never backpacked before at 60. She had a wonderful time and looks forward to more. It was nice for me to have another plant geek along as well. I may post a few pictures at some point.
We hiked to Caribou lakes and had a day of just exploring with lots of awe, a little swimming, great company, good food and very dangerous horse flies (....)
I can't wait for the next trip.
For those wondering, the Trinities are a true gem well worth the long drive.
