Windrider is 2400 cu/in capacity (about 37 liters)and weighs 28.2 oz

HMG prototype is 33 inches tall so I'm guessing it's the size of a porter backpack.
it weighs 30.6 oz and standing next my GG Nimbus ozone with the extention collar fully extended they are the same size 3600 cu or about 58 liters.

I'm being tempted. Do you mind if I ask why you are selling them? The Porter looks pretty tempting to me. Are there any differences between it and production porters? My understanding was the frame stays had been changed on newer porters.

I ordered the frame stays 6 months ago so they are the new kind.

I'm selling this to pay for a zpacks blast I just ordered, nothing wrong
with the pack; I'd like to keep it but I decided to go with the lighter pack.

Sounds good, will it handle a bear canister? How would you compare the fabric to say gridstop dyneema? I'm almost decided but I have to budget my hobbies these days, sign...

Edit - sorry one more question. How long are the stays above the shoulder strap attachment and do you like the way it squeezes down? If I get it, it would have to serve as a "do everything except SUL" pack so I like the extra room but I need to be sure I could squeeze it down for shorter trips with no bear canisters.

It squeezes down fine, it has 3 straps on each side.
It takes a large bear canister vertical with lots of room above.

This is HMG's description of the fabric:
CF Nylon Hybrid:

Used as the primary HMG pack material, this fabric is a unique rip-stop Cuben Fiber/Polyester hybrid. Only slightly heavier than our other Cuben fiber versions, this high-performance, rip-stop material can withstand over twice the weight and strain as Cuben fiber alone, and is 100% waterproof.

Thanks Anthony, gotta think a bit but thats about what I need for either bear canisters or taking kids camping.

Does the porter have hip pockets / internal pocket? I can't tell from the pictures.

windrider sold
and I'm think I'm going to hang on to the HMG prototype for now; maybe it
doesn't make sense to sell it just yet.
