I got a roll of tenacious tape and the product is not exactly what I expected. I meant to get black but I got clear. The tape seems to be a stretchy silicone like material. I was expecting something similar to nylon ripstop since they state "Made from the same fabric as high-quality tents". There's no tent made out of stretchy goo. Is the colored stuff stronger? Is it just the clear that's like that?

I have used both the clear and the various colors of Tenacious Tape to repair a car camping tent my dog tore. It was very similar to the material REI used and not at all like silnylon. It did an excellent job repairing the damage. Keep in mind, this is a car camping tent that just needs to be comfortable and waterproof.

I've used the tape for Neo-air mattress repairs and it has worked great for this purpose. I don't go hiking without it.
