Id cut Down to 2 pairs of socks, even though it won't save you much. Tell me more about the reflectix ground pad. Haven't seen that before but makes good sense. I may have to try it out. We have very similar set ups except I have ordered my rev x quilt yet and have a hybrid tent thats 1/2 pound heavier, SMD Skyscape.

It is actually one pair of 3oz super fuzzy warm sleeping socks, not 3 pair :)



The foamie is similar to reflectix you find at home depo, except it's open cell foam in a mylar sandwich. One of my friends at the pike fish market saved it for me when he found it insulating a box of fish.

When it's warm, i use it under my bum with my neoair mostly deflated. When it is colder, i move it to the top. Makes the neo a comfortable, warm, light and 25" wide pad.
