Anybody tried the new Coors Light 16oz. aluminum bottles as a cooking pot (or at least to just boil water in)??? They weight 1oz. empty w/cap....

I have an alcohol stove made from one...If you can burn in it I'm sure you could make a pot out of it. I think your issue is how narrow it is - it will be hard to find any burner for something with that small of a diameter that can be efficient. You're more likely to be wasting a lot of fuel burning the air around the bottle.

have you put it directly into a campfire???

if so how did it hold up???
