Might keep bugs out, but it isn't waterproof. You'll be lugging around a very heavy bug shelter.

Actually, given the slope of it's sides, it might shed water OK if/until coating wore out. But virtually no ventilation and the cheap fiber glass poles tend to break easily.

I used a cheapy tent (maybe slightly better than this one by the looks of it) for a 5 day trip many years ago. Worked, even in rain, but maybe I got lucky.
