FS: *Feathered Friends Vireo 16 oz., 900-fill down half bag* on 06/10/2012 11:22:35 MDT Print View

This is a like new Feathered Friends Vireo made with 900-fill down and the latest Pertex Endurance UL shell fabric. It's ridiculously warm for its meager 16oz. and packs ultra small. The bag is orange, has been used only a handful of times (it was a test model), and is in near perfect condition.

The normal 900-fill Vireo retails for $299, but this one has the better shell fabric, which adds another ~$50. You can have the bag for $175, including shipping.

See the review below for more details and images. This is the exact bag pictured in the review:

Description from Feathered Friends:
The Vireo was designed with alpine climbers in mind. It has no zipper, no hood, a variable down fill and weighs only 16 ounces. A variable down fill means that the lower part of the bag has more down fill (rated to 25) and the upper section has less fill (a 45 rating). It is designed to be used with the Volant Jacket (or Hooded Helios or Frontpoint parka) for full protection. Used without the jacket it becomes a summer bag. This compact, light system is great for climbers, bicyclists or emergency use.

QUESTIONS on 06/10/2012 13:24:19 MDT Print View

Is the "better shell fabric you speak to being the Pertex Endurance UL compared to the NanoSphere?

Size 62" or 68"?

Color Tangerine rather than Orange?

Used a handful of times equates to how many days?

Good deal I would say for a quality bag.

Supply and Demand on 06/11/2012 12:47:43 MDT Print View

There's only one!!

And yes, it's the 68" model.

The highest bidder gets the bag. I leave for a trip Thursday morning. Post your bids here and the highest bidder by 12:00pm (noon) PST on Wednesday will get an email from me that confirms the bid and gives instructions for transferring money via PayPal. After you transfer money, hopefully Wednesday afternoon, I'll ship the bag out via USPS Priority. Depending on where you live it will arrive on your doorstep on Saturday or Monday. Because it's so ridiculously lightweight, though, you might consider asking the mailman to put a rock on top of the package so that it doesn't blow away before you get home from work.
