I'm headed to Hazel Creek, just off of Fontana Lake in the Smokies next weekend. Has anybody been to the area recentley? I'm trying to find out if the bugs are out yet?

I was on the other side of the park last weekend. Bugs are out, particularly at lower elevations and around water like CS86 is. I didn't have a bug net and was fine, but I think that was probably the last trip without bug protection until fall.
