The 2012 BSA High Adventure Training in Ultralight Backpacking (WS2-BSA) courses are open for enrollment. This year there will be two courses offered with the first being in June and the second in September. We have also opened the course up to both Leaders and Scouts.

WS2-BSA is an excellent immersion course for scouters and older scouts interested in developing and expanding ultralight backpacking skills in the field. The June 7-10 session will introduce proven light weight packing and camping strategies for Philmont-bound crews and crew advisors. Training is held in the stunningly beautiful Rocky Mountain front ranges of Bob Marshall Wilderness in western Montana. If you're taking a crew to Philmont this summer or next, you won't want to miss it.
