MYOG Rain jacket, Wind jacket, and VBL on 04/26/2012 05:48:12 MDT Print View

I have for sale 3 jackets that were made using the Liberty Ridge pattern. I would like to make it clear that I am not attempting to profit from somebody else's pattern. These are jackets I made for my own use and I no longer need. The jackets took between 4 and 9 hours each to make, at the price I am selling them for I'm sure you would agree I am not making a profit. I am an amateur at MYOG, I have noted any major flaws. These are not perfect. However I do take my time and try really hard.

I have three jackets available.
They are $30 shipped CONUS each.

-Driducks with a hood. Created from two chopped up ponchos. Brand new, never used. I made this a little small. I started with the medium patten but made the chest narrower. I am 5'8" 158lb. I can wear it but the chest is a little tight. Other than that this piece really came out great. 4oz for a WP/B anorak!!!

-M50 windjacket. Size Medium. This was the hardest to make by far. This material is not easy to work with. I used stretch lyrca for the sleeve and waist. I should have folded the M50 before sewing the lyrca to the sleeves. It is fraying in a small area. I can provide a close up picture if you would like. 1.8oz

-Sil Nylon. Size Medium. This could be used as a rain jacket or a vbl. It came out really great, the only flaw is where the bottom of the zipper is finished. I put in an extended zipper for better ventilation. Not easy to end the zipper in the middle of piece of material! 3oz

Hi Brian,

I'm really interested in your wind Jacket, if you're okay with posting it to Australia. I'll cover the additional postage.

The only thing I would need to check is that it will fit in the chest. Could I ask you to measure across the front from armpit to armpit, with the zip closed?

Thanks, Rod

Are these still available?
What's the longest of the three?
(6'4", 150 lbs hiker here, nothing fits right)
