It is however okay to openly berate people if they are wrong or need enlightenment on the internet... BPL has been a good source of backpacking information for a long time now. Some of us like to see its standards remaining high. There is a lot of room for -opinion- and we see that all the time. Everybody is entitled to his or her opinion. However, when we cross out of opinion and into misleading statements that seem downright wrong, then we are all obligated to set the record straight.

If I stated that Esbit fuel is a gas, then I expect to see somebody correct me within about ten minutes.

Besides, I can't teach to anybody who doesn't want to learn.

Bob, I am a very good student when faced with someone that wants to truly teach. As you have seen in my posts, I have been stood corrected. What you do not seem to be getting is that in the process of "teaching", you have chosen to be a jackass in your way of doing so. This will be my last post on the subject because while you have a wonderful knowledge of correct fuel terminology, you seem to lack the courtesy and respect gene while teaching it.
