I love my Iwana. At the moment it is the only Tenkara rod I own. I started with a Yamame and sold it because it had too much backbone for the conditions I was fishing. The 11' Iwana will present dry flies very delicately on small streams. I mainly use it on day hikes and overnight hikes into the mountains in Colorado. Typically, in these conditions, I'm fishing for spooky 6-10" brookies with dry flies, or small nymphs. I do not fish double rigs or streamers in these conditions. If I know I am heading to an area that holds big cutthroats, I take my traditional fly rod. I am sure someone has caught a burly 20" trout on an 11' Iwana, but this is definitely not the tool for that kind of fishing. I am planning to pick up an Amago for the "bigger fish trips," like the Wind Rivers, etc.
Enjoy the rod.
