Nit-picking, I know, but Osprey isn't cottage industry. But back to point - yes, kudos to Backpacker for continuing to feature UL gear makers.

Some cottage. They left out a fair number of very worthy cottage gear makers.

Just thought this would be of interest to some. It's just like a BPL SOTM, not all logical makers make it in the sample. I assume Backpacker will include more reviews in the future as they have been reviewing some cottage gear lately. But that may be assuming too much. Congrats to those in the cottage industry that made it.

Osprey got lumped in because the criteria called for packs 2.5 pounds or less. I don't think anyone here would mistake Osprey as cottage.

I noticed that too, it was nice to see some relatively smaller companies getting publicity.
