Lid for GSI soloist on 04/19/2012 13:55:17 MDT Print View

Was wondering if anyone has a lead on where I can get a replacment lid for a GSI soloist or another prands lid or frying pan that would fit the soloist.

Four Dog stoves have titanium lids for various Snow Peak Pots. If the soloist is the exact diameter of one of the SP pots you could consider one of these. If you email the owner, he may be able to make one for you.

carbon fiber on 04/26/2012 16:32:48 MDT Print View

I love titanium, but I think a carbon fiber lid performs better :
- it's an insulator, so keeps the heat in and reduces fuel consumption
- because it is temperature inert, you can pick it up with your bare hands even if the water is boiling
and it's about the same price

GSI Service on 04/27/2012 10:17:43 MDT Print View

First post here. I melted my lid like an idiot a few weeks ago. Called GSI and asked to buy a replacement, they thought it was silly I wanted to pay for one and shipped me a new one free of charge the same day. I got it 2 days later.

Great service from these guys!
